Learning Deliberative Democracy (June 28 – July 9, 2021)
In this two-week virtual public policy course, co-led by Stanford and Close Up faculty, students will work directly on a real-world deliberative democracy project using the method of Deliberative Polling. Students will identify the most important issues facing their generation, gain the knowledge and skills needed to lead deliberations in their schools and home communities, and develop resources and events to encourage youth participation in nationwide deliberations.
