Close Up on TV: For over 30 years, Close Up has partnered with leading institutions worldwide to provide some of the best youth-centric public affairs TV and video programs ever filmed. For example, we've produced hundreds of impactful C-SPAN shows featuring Close Up students dialoguing with U.S. Presidents, policy experts, electoral candidates and the media. Many of these shows were filmed at the Newseum as part of our longstanding partnership with the Freedom Forum. To view past programs, click here.

Washington Student Programs: These challenging programs give students an understanding of why they should become informed and engaged citizens. Using the nation's capital as a living classroom, students experience democracy first-hand and live and learn among peers from all 50 states. Many alums credit this experience with inspiring them to pursue careers in public service and education.

Washington Teacher Program: This fast-paced and inspirational program is the only one of its kind. Teaming with our expert faculty, teachers from schools nationwide discuss "next and best practices" and gain new insights on how to make democracy "come alive" for their students. A hallmarkof this program is the interaction with Washington’s venerable institutions such as the White House Historical Association, the Library of Congress, the Department of Education, and the Smithsonians.
