Know the weather
Your time is going to be action-packed and lots of fun.  DC’s climate is usually mild but sometimes we get snow, rain or hot weather.  Check Weather.com before you leave.

Know what to wear
Casual attire is fine except we request that teachers and high school students wear nice clothes for Capitol Hill Day.

Know what to bring
In addition to your clothes, here are some things to bring:

• Photo ID (a school ID is fine)
• Completed Medical Questionnaire Form
• Signed Consent for Treatment Form
• Health Insurance Card (or copy of both sides)
• Spending money (or debit or credit card is fine)
• Camera (so you can memorialize your visit)
• Sunglasses
• Refillable water bottle

Smart Packing
You must be able to carry your own luggage so pack only what is needed. One suitcase and one backpack are usually enough.  
Some airlines will require you to pay to check your bags. Check with your carrier ahead of time about this.
