For over 30 years, Close Up has partnered with leading institutions worldwide to provide some of the best youth-centric public affairs TV and video programs ever filmed. These efforts have earned accolades from teachers, administrators and funders nationwide as a great way to help young people engage as citizens in the U.S. democracy.

For example, from 1979-2009, our partnership with C-SPAN produced hundreds of impactful shows featuring Close Up students from schools nationwide dialoguing with one another and with U.S. Presidents, policy experts, electoral candidates and the media. Many of these shows were filmed at the Newseum in Washington , D.C. as part of our longstanding partnership with the Freedom Forum. To view past TV programs, click here.

We also have produced highly-impactual videos on a wide range of subjects that have been relied on by teachers in classrooms nationwide to stimulate thought and debate among their students. Topics ranged from first amendment rights all the way to illegal music downloading. Consistent with our mission, many of our works have been co-produced by students nationwide.

We continue to produce segments for a number of institutions, including the Center on Congress at Indiana University.
