These advanced programs are ideal for motivated, college-bound students in grades 10-12 who want to gain an in-depth understanding of key public policy issues facing the U.S. such as the U.S. Economy or Foreign Policy. Students spend 6 action-packed days doing intensive study visits at key institutions in Washington. This includes interacting with officials from the Administration, the Congress, and the Judiciary. Students also meet with members of Congress or staff and engage in discussion with their peers from around the country during simulations and workshops conducted by our highly-trained staff.
Students who complete the program and write a satisfactory research paper are eligible to earn 1 college credit from the
University of Virginia.
